SOGB comprises
of 19 regions, with over 130 registered groups throughout England,
Scotland & Wales.
It
has one of the largest volunteer programmes in the UK, with over half
a million people involved.
Football is just one of 20 sports that Special Olympics GB provides
for its members.
SOGB
endeavours to match players of similar abilities for all events and
competitions. This way everyone gets to train, compete, progress and
win at their own level.
SOGB
Football is played at both 5-a-side, 7-a-side and 11-a-side.
Special
Olympics also provides a 'Unified' version of the games, which includes
both disabled and non disabled footballers.
